ICE Dramatically Increasing I–9 Audits
The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has announced that it is dramatically increasing the number of I–9 audits it will be conducting.
On July 1st, ICE issued 652 Notices of Inspection, meaning that it will be auditing I–9s shortly at 652 businesses.
In fiscal year 2008, which end on October 1, 2008, ICE issued a total of 503 Notices of Inspection.
