Today, Janet Napolitano announced that Haitian nationals who were in the US as of January 12, 2010 are eligible for TPS.

TPS will allow Haitians who were in the US as of January 12, 2010 to continue living and working in the US for the next 18 months.

Applicants for TPS need to complete and file forms I-821 and I-765. The filing fees for these forms are:

• I-821: $50 plus $80 for biometrics.
• I-765: $340
