CDC Proposes to Remove HIV from Communicable Disease List
The Center for Disease Control is proposing to amend its regulations to remove HIV from the definition of “communicable disease of public health significance.”
Once these regulations are promulgated, HIV will no longer be a bar to admission to the US and a waiver will no longer be necessary.
